I have loved motorcycles ever since I can remember. I got my first motorcycle around the age of 21, a Yamaha R6. I had my first major crash about 9 months later. Sadly the bike was destroyed. Being the rookie that i was I locked my rear wheel in a blind intersection in a canyon road. I ended up going head on into a Toyot Sequioia.

Recovery was painful, both physically and mentally. My body was messed up, I lost all my toenails and was badly bruised. My clavicle was shattered into 11 pieces and had to be replaced by a titanium rod. Mentally I was also messed up. For months I would panic whenever I would see red lights.

But even then, I knew I would eventually be back on two wheels. So about a month after getting cleared from physical therapy, I got myself a Suzuki GSXR. I guess I just wanted something different. I rode that bike for a few years before I sold it.

After not riding for a few years I was yearning to get back in the saddle again, so I got myself a 2013 Yamaha R6. I was back. Around this time I had started looking at cruisers as a second bike. I was getting older and knew I couldn't ride these sport bikes for long distances anymore, but I wasn't ready to commit to a full on lazy boy on wheels just yet. I liked the old school bobber style and so like an idiot I decided I'd get a Harley Davidson Sportster 48 solely based on its looks. I did no research, so like many others after about 6 months on the thing I already wanted an upgrade.

I decided to keep it for a few years. Months passed and I found myself only riding the R6. Years passed and I found myself not riding either of them. It's now been 4 years. I was beginning to wonder if I just didn't enjoy riding anymore. So I put them both up for sale. The R6 sold pretty quickly. The Sportster will take some time. I've been thinking about it for awhile now and I love riding. I just wasn't comfortable riding sport bikes anymore. The Sportster gave me problems day 1. It was also underpowered and shaky at highway speeds. So I decided I'm going to get a Harley Davidson Street Bob or Low Rider S.
